When you’ve been out on the water or had a walk in the stunning scenery surrounding Derwentwater, there’s nothing better than a wonderful home baked treat and a refreshing or warming drink. What better place to enjoy it than on the edge of the lake with a stunning view across the water to the beautiful mountain backdrop. All home baked with only the freshest ingredients and as a delicious post exercise treat, you can enjoy them guilt free!
Try one of Roger’s famous fresh scones, made daily, or one of Tash’s tantalising cakes. We stock a selection of cakes, such as brownies, lemon drizzle and gingerbread and traybakes. Gluten and vegan free cakes and scones are often available, but do give us a ring in advance to check availability, as we only make them immediately after a very deep clean of the kitchen to ensure no transfer of other ingredients.
Our delicious fresh coffee, Belgian hot chocolate, selection of teas and cold drinks are all available to accompany your cake.
